2 lb beef or turkey necks
2 large onions - chopped
2 cups diced turnip
2 cups diced carrots
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup rice
1 can tomatoes
salt & pepper to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Boil meat and onions in 10 cups water until meat is tender.
Add vegetables and cook over low heat until almost done.
Add rice and cook until rice is tender.
Add tomatoes and more water is soup is too thick.
Serve with crackers or fresh rolls.
