Lamb and potato stew

Ingredients
- 1.3 lb lamb
- 2 large onions
- 3.3 lbs of potatoes
- 2/3 cups of white wine
- a bouquet garni
- salt and pepper

Preparation
Step 1
- Heat two tablespoons of olive oil at the bottom of a casserole dish over medium heat.
- Add the two large onions, peeled and sliced, brown slightly.
Step 2
Once the onions lightly browned incorporate pieces of lamb that until they are very brown.
Step 3
Next add white wine and evaporate the alcohol 5 minutes over medium heat then add the potatoes and cover with water. Add the bouquet garni, salt and pepper to taste. Close the cooker and cook for 45 minutes.
If the sauce was too watery after cooking, you can add a little cornstarch (previously diluted in a glass of water) to thicken it.
