Ingredients

  • 1 block tofu, sliced into 4 slabs
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Smoked gouda, shredded
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Soymilk with 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • Mushrooms gravy, to serve

Preparation

Step 1

Combine spices. Toss tofu in spices.

Step 2

Mix leftover spices in breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Put cheese between 2 slices of tofu. Dip into lemon soymilk. Toss in breadcrumbs. Repeat.

Step 4

Bake tofu for 30 minutes at 350*F or pan fry until crispy.

Step 5

Top with mushroom gravy.
