Baked Ziti with Meatballs

Using the basic tomato sauce recipe and the heavenly meatball recipe, this dish comes together beautifully

- 1/2 box Ziti cooked and drained
- Basic Tomato Sauce
- Heavenly Meatballs
- 2-4 C Mozzarella shredded
- Parmesan Cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Butter your baking dish (we use 13x9 size) and set aside.
Step 2
Boil your ziti according to package directions, then drain. Add your ziti back to the saucepan you boiled it in and add the tomato sauce and meatballs, stir until sauce is well incorporated. Pour into the baking dish.
Step 3
Top with parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until all cheese is melted and starts to turn a golden brown.
I like to take a loaf of Italian bread, slice it almost all the way through, add butter and pop it in the oven with the ziti for the last 5 minutes of cook time. This creates a crunchy outside and a nice hot soft inside.
