Sausage Stuffing

Mom would make this stuffing every Thanksgiving.

Ingredients

  • 1 Log Pork Sausage (We use Jones' Sausage)
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Celery stalks chopped
  • 1/2 Stick Butter
  • 1 bag Stuffing
  • 2T sage
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1C Chicken Broth or Water

Preparation

Step 1

Add butter to pan and melt. Add onions and celery and cook until transparent. Mix in your sausage making sure to break it up into small pieces. Add your sage, salt and pepper.

Step 2

Mix your sausage mixture with the stuffing and add the chicken broth. Carefully mix well with your hands

Step 3

Place in a buttered baking dish and bake at 350 for 25 minutes. You can also use this to stuff a turkey, however, you'll want to decrease the amount of chicken stock to 3/4 C
