- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 2 cups of toasted sliver almonds
- 1 box semi sweet choc

Step 1
First toast almonds in oven 350 for about 7 mins. Divided the almonds 1 1/3 cup then the rest break up fine set aside all the nuts. Melt butter slowly Add sugar stir together till the sugar sticks to the pot. then add water & corn syrup. Put the candy therm in then turn up a bit gentle boil. stir every 15 mins.. it will darken while cooking.. when it reaches 290f. REMOVE Add 1 1/3 cup of almonds stir. then pour into a greased jelly roll pan. I use a cookie sheet. Cool Then when cool melt 4 squares of choc pour on top spread out. then add fine nuts on top. let it dry then flip over melt the rest of choc and add nuts. THIS SHOULD BE GLOSSY. iF DUAL YOU COOKED TO LONG. YOU CAN ADD WATER IF COOK TO LONG & BOIL IT OUT 290F. iF IT IS GETTING DARK & GLOSSY YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF I DID MY THERMO WASN'T WORKING & IT TURNED OUT:)
Step 2
THIS SHOULD BE GLOSSY. iF DUAL YOU COOKED TO LONG. YOU CAN ADD WATER IF COOK TO LONG & BOIL IT OUT 290F. iF IT IS GETTING DARK & GLOSSY YOU CAN TAKE IT OFF I DID MY THERMO WASN'T WORKING & IT TURNED OUT:)
Use a med size thick pot. This can be hard to make if you don't stir your sugar and butter all the time
