The Ultimate Korean Bibimbap with Spicy Shrimp

Ingredients to serve 4

  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed or grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar 
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 14 oz. peeled and deveined shrimp with tails
  • 10.5 oz fresh shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, finely sliced
  • 1/4 of a red cabbage, finely sliced
  • 3/4 cup bean sprouts
  • 4 eggs
  • Oil for frying
