There are thousands of commercial products designed to remove excess oil from the skin, which are often expensive and very aggressive— disrupting the skin's natural pH balance.
Forget the over-priced products and reach for cornstarch instead. Sprinkle the flour on the oily areas of your face, and leave for at least 30 minutes. Then, rinse with warm water and moisturize as usual.
You can even try using cornstarch as an alternative to makeup powders! If you have very oily skin, it can make an excellent substitute, keeping your complexion matte all day. The only downside to this solution is that cornflower is very light in color, so will only suit the palest of complexions.
