Kitchen HACK: The Better Way to Soften Butter

Your recipe calls for softened butter and you forgot to take it out of the fridge ahead of time. So you pop it into the microwave - problem solved. Easy right? If you’re like me and you’re prone to overheating your butter into a melted gloopy mess, then this isn’t necessarily the right solution.
What if I told you there was a better way to soften butter? No more guesswork, no more mess.
Just bring a pot of water to boil, then pour the water into a glass. Once the glass is heated, dump out the water. Flip the glass over your the of butter, standing, and wait a few minutes. By then, the heat from the glass should have brought your butter to the perfect temperature.
