Kitchen Tools You Probably Need to Replace (Without Realizing it)

Food isn't the only thing with an expiration date. Over time, even these basic kitchen utensils need to be thrown out (or recycled) and replaced.

Wooden Utensils - 5 years

On average, wooden utensils have a lifespan of 5 years, but that really depends on how often you use them. If you notice any discoloration, cracks or spots on the wood, then it's time to replace. Not to mention that wooden spoons aren't the most hygienic of cooking tools, especially when little pieces of food get stuck in their grooves.
