We all have those memories of summer vacation, sitting round a campfire and making S’Mores! We still get excited seeing a fluffy marshmallow lightly crackle and ooze, so why not try this recipe and recreate the ultimate camper’s dessert.
Here's our fave way to make S'mores on a campfire:
Ingredients:
Cooking oil
Jumbo marshmallows
Sweet crackers (such as Graham crackers)
Dark chocolate (to be broken into squares)
Pinch of sea salt
Metal skewers
Instructions:
Take a metal skewer, and assemble a S'more! Start by rubbing a little oil onto the skewer, this will stop the marshmallows sticking to it. Skewer a marshmallow.
Snap a cracker in half, top with a square of chocolate, and sprinkle on a little salt. Set aside.
Roast the marshmallow by holding it over a flame and rotating. The marshmallow should be golden and gooey. Lower the marshmallow and let it catch fire before immediately blowing it out. This will give the marshmallow a smokey taste.
As soon as the marshmallow is ready, squash it onto the chocolate-topped cracker, and place the other half of the cracker on top. Delicately pull the skewer out from between the two crackers. You should have a sugary-sweet marshmallow and chocolate sandwich which should be enjoyed immediately.
