Where is it? Barcelona, north east coast of Spain

Josep Xifré created this restaurant which was inspired by the popular Parisian restaurants of the time. Its name comes from the fact that it had 7 doors to enter (and an eighth for service employees), giving it a much more open appearance than was customary at the time. It was a place for politicians, artists, and anyone who wanted to be seen in the fashionable restaurant. Nowadays, its speciality is rice dishes, although its menu also has other Catalan delicacies that are not to be missed.
