For those with little time, quick dishes can also be made "romantic."
Ingredients (serve 2):
1 1/2 cups shrimp
1 red bell pepper
1 medium carrot
1 egg
2 cups cooked, cold rice (Jasmine rice; preferably from the previous day)
1 cup peas
1/2 cup corn
A pinch of sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp curry powder
A pinch of pepper
Instructions:
Rinse the shrimp, peel them, and pat dry with paper towels. Wash the bell pepper, halve it, remove the seeds, and dice it. Peel the carrot and slice it.
Heat some oil in a pan and sauté the shrimp. Crack the egg into the pan and scramble it. Then add the rice.
Add the bell pepper, carrot, peas, and corn, and sauté well. Season with sugar, soy sauce, curry powder, and pepper.
Arrange the dish in a heart shape on plates and serve.
