Her Boyfriend Left Her When He Saw What She Really Looked Like

Even before she was diagnosed with the disease, Sophia had heard of it as several members of her family also suffer from this condition and were able to help her cope with her own diagnosis. However, while many of her family members are embarrassed of their skin, she has been the first to accept it and bravely open up to the world.

The severity of psoriasis varies from person to person. For some people, it's just a minor irritation, while for others it has a huge impact on their day-to-day lives. Fortunately, Sophia is learning how to manage it and embrace it, and her courage is just one more reason why she is beautiful inside and out.

"It's difficult wearing make-up all of the time because it irritates my skin, but I've spent so much time doing it that it's become a huge hobby."
