So what are Starbucks customers – with their venti, extra hot, double shot, low fat, no foam vanilla lattes – really like from the other side of the counter? Victoria admits there are ups and downs and that, of course, some customers can be surprisingly rude (a trait she chalks up to them not having had their morning cup of coffee yet).

Customers with insanely customized drinks were also a daily occurrence, which became especially frustrating if people got picky. "I can’t even tell you how many times I had to remake drinks because they were 'too sweet' or 'too hot,' despite the fact that I followed the same recipe every time," Victoria said.
