The Hardest Part?

Above everything, the most challenging part of the job happens before you even start your first shift: the training.

Employees are required to do two full weeks of intense sessions, from 9am to 5pm. During that time, they're expected to learn how to make every single drink of the menu to perfection. What you probably didn't know is they they also have to learn how to make the drinks wrong – mistakes "like over-aerating the milk, so it tasted foul" – so they know how to avoid those mistakes on the job.

Despite those weeks being overwhelming, the repetition made it all easier over time. "They set it up so that all the drinks have a step-by-step process with numerical breakdowns for the amounts. Plus, practice makes perfect, and after you spent a few shifts on the bar (where the drinks are made), it was like second nature."
