How To Make It

Take about ten vanilla beans and split them lengthwise to release the flavor. Place them in a tall glass bottle or jar, then fill with your choice of liquor. Seal the bottle and store in a cool place. Wait about six weeks to two months, giving it a shake every now and then. You'll be able to tell it's ready when the color darkens and the extract gives off that sweet, vanilla fragrance.
