Reverse Foods

A few spunky New York chefs are serving up some intriguing reverse-food creations, including this "spaghetti-in-meatball" from Noi Due Carne, made with a one-pound prime brisket meatball that's hiding a full serving of spaghetti marinara inside. The meatball is cut tableside for "dramatic effect." At Clinton Hall, the menu features a fondue burger, made with a donut-shaped patty served on a pretzel bun stuffed with fries and a pot of molten cheese on the side to dump over it. We have to admit, neither options sound half-bad.
