John's Donuts in St. Louis lives up to the hype. Not only will it cover your midnight donut cravings but also some of the freshest donuts are sold around that time, as the shop is open from 11 pm to 1 pm everyday (yes, you read that right). It's filled with quirky decor, including lots of Superman paraphernalia, funny signs on the walls, and a skeleton propped in a barber's chair sporting a Cardinals T-shirt. Welcoming people from all walks of life and in almost every possible physical state, John's is definitely a St. Louis "experience" to have. Did we mention the incredible apple fritters they make? It outsells almost every other donut on the menu.
