A lot happened in the year 1958 when President Eisenhower was running the country (hello, NASA), but perhaps one of the more significant events for the residents of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania was the opening of Mac's Donut Shop, a family-run business for four generations, which has employed some people for more than 25 years. It's a beloved local gem known for their inimitable hot glazed donuts made every Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning since opening all those years ago. Open from 4 am to 4 pm all week and til 2 pm on weekends, it's an absolute must-try, and don't even think about going to Dunkin' Donuts down the street.
