Chicken + Waffles

Chicken and waffles is traditionally associated with Southern cuisine, but before it was a thing, the usual pairing was fried catfish and waffles. Believe it or not, that concept originated in Pennsylvania, and fried chicken was later subbed in when catfish wasn't available.
