Invite Her For A Ritzy Afternoon Tea

As an alternative to brunch, and if you can afford to splash out a bit more, book a table for afternoon tea in a luxury hotel. These usually run around $60+ per person, but the experience is a real treat. In case you're not familiar with this beloved British tradition, afternoon tea consists of a 3-course meal with finger foods, such as tea sandwiches, scones and bite-size pastries. All of this is accompanied with your choice of tea (maybe even champagne). And bonus, if you do this in a nice hotel like The Ritz-Carlton, you'll be sipping your tea in a plush setting. If your mom hasn't had a "royal" treatment like this in a while, it's the perfect way to show your love on Mother's Day.
