Bill's Burgers is another LA gem but this time without all the bells and whistles. What to expect? A 90-something man named Bill flipping his own burgers at a small, nondescript stand in an ordinary neighborhood. But there's a reason LA Weekly called this tiny establishment the "King of the California Burger Stands," and all it takes is one visit to figure out why. Bill's burgers taste exactly the way burgers are meant to, and the familiarity of those staple ingredients (cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles onions and mayo, plus bacon for good measure) is still meticulously constructed and therefore loved by many.
