Eat brunch with her over video chat

Although you can't be with your mom physically on Mother's Day, you should definitely make time for her in a virtual capacity or over the phone. If you have a computer or tablet or even just a camera on your phone, you can plan to eat a meal together over video chat. Get the whole family in on the call, so she can spend time with her grandkids, too. Some elderly mothers may have to spend the holiday in isolation, so being able to see their family's faces and just talk will really help to lift their spirits and make them feel less alone.
