The Fastest Way To Pickle Vegetables

How To Pickle

Now it's time to prepare the brine. Made from equal parts white or apple cider vinegar and water, this solution preserves the food and prevents spoilage. To make the brine, pour one cup water, one cup vinegar, and a tablespoon of salt into a pot. Bring to a boil then pour over the vegetables until the jars are nearly full. Seal tightly and refrigerate, waiting at least two days before opening.
Note: You can add extra seasonings like spices, garlic and herbs if you like, but this is shortcut version when you're in a pinch.
