Cutting Boards

The NSF found that 18 percent of cutting boards are host to harmful bacteria, and Dr. Gerba confirms that most of us aren't taking proper care of our boards. "Most people just rinse their cutting board, but poultry and raw meat can leave behind salmonella and campylobacter"

Always have separate boards for raw meat and vegetables, and clean and dry them thoroughly after every use.
