Despite the "King of Beers" being one of the most iconic American brews since its creation 144 years ago, it is no longer 100% American-owned. First introduced in St. Louis, Missouri in 1876, the American-style pale lager is said to have been created by Carl Conrad & Co. The beer was and still is produced by Anheuser-Busch, an American brewing company with its headquarters in St. Louis. But in terms of ownership, Anheuser-Busch was acquired by Belgium-based Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2008. Sibling beers (also owned by InBev) include: Corona, Stella Artois, Beck's, Hoegaarden, and Leffe—that's what we call a melting pot of beers!
