Though the label "product of" doesn't amount to a hill of beans—er, olives—making sure that your olive oil comes from one farm/estate, region, or country, actually makes a big difference in quality and flavor. Otherwise, low quality olives from all over the Mediterranean may be combined and bottled in Italy, for example, then sold as a "Product of Italy." Instead, look for the name of the farm, or at least the indication "grown, produced, and bottled in" with the country or region.
