Delicious short rib and cabbage dish that's inexpensive, nutritious and delicious
- 2 pounds of beef short ribs - cut into pieces with 2 bones per piece
- 1 cabbage (can be any variety) chop whole cabbage into large chunks about the size of 1 cup each chunk
- 2 onions chopped
- 4 potatoes - whole, scrubbed, jackets on.
- 2 tablespoons good olive oil
- 4-6 bay leaves
- salt to taste
- 20 peppercorns
- parsley finely chopped.
- 1 cup of water
- (options/variations - may add cayenne pepper, cream, garlic, cloves, sour cream/plain yogurt)

- 2 Medium Onions Quartered
- 6 Carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1/2 C Red Wine
- 2 C Beef Stock
- 2T Minced Garlic

- •1 tsp. ginger powder or fresh grated ginger

Marinade beef in marinade ingredients at room temp for 15 min
- Beef Marinade:
- 3 T soy sauce
- 2 T sesame oil
- 2 green onions chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 t sesame seeds
- 2 t sugar
- 1/2 t pepper
- 1lb beef thinly sliced
- 3 T oil
- thinly sliced carrots
- sliced bamboo shoots
- cabbage thinly sliced
- chopped fresh spinach
- 1 pk softened cellophane noodles (sweet potato)
- 4 T soy sauce
- 2 T sugar
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t pepper
