Ingredients
Dough:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- Water
Filling:
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 lb ground beef
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup tomato sauce
Method
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk, and water in a pan, and mix until you form a dough.
- In a saucepan, heat a splash of olive oil and add the onion. Cook on medium-high until onion has softened.
- Add the ground beef, and add the salt, water, and tomato sauce. When the meat has browned, remove from heat.
- Dust a flat surface with flour, and roll out the dough into a flat sheet.
- Use a ramekin or cup to cut out circles.
- Add a dollop of beef-tomato mixture to the center of each circle.
- Pinch the dough into a little pocket.
- Bake in the oven at 350° F for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven, to 410 °
- 8 chicken breasts (about 2.5 lbs)
- 8 oz pitted prunes
- 1 bunch of white grapes or raisins (8 oz)
- 3 1/3 tbsp olive oil
- .5 tsp ground ginger
- .5 tsp of salt
- 1 tube of saffron
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Grated zest of one lemon (if you like lemon)
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 tsp honey
Chicken tagine with apricots, prunes and almonds

In a Dutch oven brown the meat with chopped onions
- 2.5 lbs chicken (whole or in fillets cut into pieces)
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 8 oz prunes
- a dozen dried apricots
- 10-20 almonds
- 1 scoop of saffron
- 1 cube of vegetable broth
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of cumin
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 2 cups of water
