Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp fat/margarine/oil
  • 4 tbsp (1/2 cup) flour
  • 1 cup molk
  • 2 cups finely chopped, cooked meat
  • 1 tbsp chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Melt fat and add flour. Blend

Step 2

Add milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly

Step 3

Add meat, onion, and seasoning

Step 4

Chill thoroughly

Step 5

Dip into crumbs

Step 6

Dip into beaten egg with 2 tbsp water

Step 7

Dip into crumbs again

Step 8

Let chill

Step 9

Deep fry until brown

Method

  1. Fry the bacon in a skillet, then add onion, and meat.
  2. Add tomato paste, bell peppers, garlic and salt, and simmer till cooked through
  3. Boil 1 whole cabbage head in salted water till tender
  4. Spoon mixture into individual cabbage leaves, and fold carefully to form little rolls
  5. Serve with any remaining mixture
