RECALL: Deli Products Pulled From Shelves

(July 4, 2017) Recall due to undeclared allergens.

Diebergs Markets, a St. Louis based supermarket chain, has issued a recall for deli products in all of their retail stores. The products contain undeclared fish and undeclared milk allergens. This can pose a life-threatening risk to sensitive individuals with these allergies.

While no illnesses have been reported related to the mislabeling, consumers should take the necessary precautions.

Products Affected

  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap (10-ounce package); “Use By” date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad (14-ounce and 8.5-ounce packages): “Use By” date: 7/1/17 and earlier
  • Classic Pinwheel Appetizer Wrap Platter (12-count); “Use By” date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Santa Fe Grilled Chicken Wrap (11-ounce package): “Use By” date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Santa Fe Grilled Veggie Wrap (12-ounce package): “Use By” date: 7/2/17 and earlier

Steps to Take

Consumers who have purchased the products are advised to return them unopened to the place of purchase for a full refund. For further questions, please contact Dierbergs Markets at 1-636-532-8884 Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm CDT.

These quick and easy chicken quesadillas are the perfect, last-minute family dinner!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup of chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp. of Mexican spice mix
  • 4 Tortillas
  • Cheddar
  • Salt, to taste

METHOD:

  1. Put shredded chicken breast, tomato sauce, chives, and mexican spice mix in a bowl and mix together.
  2. Lay out the tortillas. Place a slice of cheddar in the center, and cover with the chicken mix.
  3. Fold up tortillas, and heat in a frying pan until golden.
  4. Enjoy!
