When an Abandoned Baby Kitten Was Found in the Trash, This Dog Knew Just What To Do

No matter how much cruelty there can be in the world, there will always be those people – and animals – who remind us that love conquers all.

Georgia Spathoula was taking out her trash outside her home in Greece when she discovered something that she will probably never forget: a tiny baby kitten, crying out for help.

Georgia told the Dodo, "When I opened the trash can I saw a newborn kitten tied inside a bag, hopelessly mewing for help due to some irresponsible being who abandoned it there for a tragic death."

Without a mother to nurse it, this baby was not in a good situation. That's when an unexpected source of help stepped forward.

"I took [the kitten] out," Georgia said, "and the neighborhood dog that had just given birth kindly let it nurse."

And the sweet canine even seemed happy to do it! Watch the video:

This is just one more incredible story that reminds us how kind and generous animals can be, even more so than humans sometimes.

Thanks to her guardian angel, this little kitten now has another chance at life!
