Costco Selling $1000 Emergency Survival Food Kits That Last 25 Years
Prepping for a disaster just got easier.
With major hurricans wreaking havoc across the U.S. and talks of nuclear war with North Korea, preparing for the worst doesn't look like such a bad idea.
Beloved bulk retailer Costco is now offering members a one-year "emergency food kit" for just $999.99, which seems like a pretty reasonable alternative to buying 6 pounds of peanut butter and hoping for the best.
The kit includes 6,200 servings of food, provides 1,200 calories per day for one adult for a year and has a 25-year shelf life.
So what do you get to eat? All the basics: wheat, rice, granola, apples, bananas, peaches, strawberries, potatoes, corn, lentils, beans, oninos, carrots, chicken, beef, milk, salt, and sugar (because taste counts).
That may sound like a lot to carry out to the parking lot, but don't worry: shipping is included!
Costco is also offering family-sized emergency food kits for $3,999 and $5,999. While it's not clear yet how many people are purchasing these kits, it's pretty clear that demand it hot.
