Do you know how long frozen food really lasts? Here's the long and short of it.

THe Short Answer

According to foodsafety.gov, "frozen foods constantly stored at 0°F or below can be kept indefinitely." While that is true, the real question we should be asking ourselves is "how long does food really last in the freezer before its quality begins to deteriorate?" Because technically speaking, properly frozen food will always be safe to eat, but that doesn't mean it will always taste good. Here are the recommended freezer storage times for common food items.
