Chopping Herbs

Fresh herbs add lots of flavor to a dish and immediately brighten the taste. However, we've all experienced frustration as those herbs scatter across the cutting board or cling to your knife.

The solution is a simple one, though, and once you see how easy it is, you'll be encouraged to add more fresh herbs to your meals.

Add a Pinch of Salt

As strange as it may seem, adding a pinch of salt to your cutting board before you start chopping herbs keeps them in place and prevents them from sticking to your knife. The salt grains create just enough friction to stop the herbs from moving all over the place, and the added weight helps them slide off the knife.

This little-known tip is sure to help you introduce more fresh herbs into your cooking, effortlessly!
