The Queen's Favorite Drink was...
A gin and Dubonnet. Dubonnet is a sweet wine-based aperitif composed of a blend of fortified wine, herbs and spices (fermentation stops when alcohol is added). Despite the rumors you might have read about the Queen throwing back four drinks a day, Chef McGrady says it's all rubbish. McGrady says when she was going to have wine with dinner (which was rare), she'd have sweet German wine.
