Woman Dies of Cancer After Claiming Her Vegan Diet Had Cured It
This woman rejected science-based treatments and claimed that veganism and faith had cured her cancer. Now, she has succumbed to the disease.

Mari Lopez, a woman from Houston, Texas, claimed that she healed her Stage 4 breast cancer "by turning to God and changing her lifestyle and eating habits". She and her niece, Liz Johnson, began a YouTube channel promoting her "cure" for this disease, specifically crediting a vegan raw food diet.
After accumulating over 11,000 subscribers and more than 1 million views, however, Liz finally revealed that Mari had passed away. The cause? Cancer, which had spread throughout her entire body.
