His favorite pizza
During a 2019 visit to a Scottish village, then-Prince Charles was surprised by an Italian pizza chef who'd been residing there for two years. The man gifted him with a pizza and he later told the media: "I wanted to give him the pizza as he is such a big part of this country." He went on to say, "He was curious, he smiled, and I said it's a margherita. I believe the prince said 'It's my favorite'."
Given the King's penchant for simple, organic dishes, it's no surprise that he would prefer the classic Neapolitan margherita pizza, made with nothing more than high-quality San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, fresh basil, salt and extra-virgin olive oil. It's certainly one of the healthier options in today's world of unlimited topping choices.
