Pimientos de Padron: Blistered Padron Peppers

Most of these small green peppers are mild in flavor, but every once in a while, you can stumble upon some that are spicy. They originate from the Galicia region of Spain and are simply fried in a pan until the skin is blistered, then seasoned with a sprinkling of salt. You might have to order them online or get them from a specialty Spanish  grocer, but it's the next best thing when you can't get to Europe. Get the recipe here.
