Pancake Breakfast Sandwich

In the 1970s, a McDonalds franchaise owner in South California had the bright idea of combining a bunch of breakfast ingredients into a sandwich. The fast-food industry cheered, and  an American classic was born. This tasty morning treat is still just as popular today, and is super delish when folded into a pancake. GIve our recipe a go, and enjoy from the comfort of your own kitchen!

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 8 frozen pancakes
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 8 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the pancakes and set aside. Top each pancake with a slice of cheese.
  2. Melt 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  3. Add the bacon to the pan and fry until well done. Set aside.
  4. In a seperate skillet, add the remaining tbsp butter. Crack an egg into the skillet, one at a time, until it fries. The yolk should be orange and runny.
  5. Place the egg on top of the cheese pancake. Add a streak of bacon to each pancake and if desired, drizzle with maple syrup.
  6. Enjoy!
