Potatoes with Bacon and Cheese

Another side dish that is always a hit, these potatoes loaded with cheese and crispy bacon are always a hit.

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 5 large potatoes
  • 1 pack of bacon
  • 1 package of cheese to melt, the best options are raclette, gruyère, mozzarella or provolone.
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Then cook them in salted water for 15 min. They should be tender without falling apart.
  3. Remove the potatoes and transfer the first layer to a greased baking dish.
  4. Cut the bacon and cheese into pieces and place them on top of the first layer of potatoes.
  5. Cover with more potatoes and top again with bacon and cheese. Continue until you finish with a layer of cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 min., or until the cheese is melted and the top is lightly browned.
