Starbucks Copycat Pumpkin Steamer
A cold, gray day in October calls for one thing — a milky, creamy, pumpkin-based beverage.
But before you grab your coat and car keys and head to everyone's fave coffee conglomerate, check your pantry to see if you can rustle up this cozy drink from the comfort of your own home.
Here's what you need for a healthier take on the classic:
Ingredients (for 2 people):
- 2 cups milk (can be dairy, or any other type of milk substitute such as oat or almond)
- 2 tbsp pumpkin purée
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice
- Whipped cream
Instructions:
- Add the milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and pumpkin spice to a small pot over medium-heat. Stir well.
- Just before the mixture is about to boil, take off heat.
- Using a frother, whisk, or fork, froth the mixture for half a minute until it's foamy.
- Serve topped with whipped cream.
- Enjoy under a blanket while watching your fave TV series!
