Deviled Egg Pine Trees

These delicious Christmas trees are a festive twist on the classic deviled eggs, perfect for holiday gatherings. With a touch of red and yellow bell peppers to form the tree decorations, these cute and colorful appetizers are sure to be a hit at any celebration! For extra festive flair, you can also use small star-shaped cutters to make the bell pepper ornaments.

Ingredients (for 12 trees):

  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (for garnish)
  • 1/4 red bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1/4 yellow bell pepper, finely diced

Instructions:

  1. Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the egg whites aside on a platter.
  2. Mash the egg yolks with the avocado, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste if needed.
  3. Spoon the yolk mixture back into the hollowed egg whites, or use a piping bag for a more decorative look. Make a small mound of the yolk mixture in the center of each egg white.
  4. Arrange the deviled eggs in the shape of a tree on the platter. You can line them up in a triangular shape or layer them for a more dimensional look.
  5. Decorate each egg with small pieces of red and yellow bell peppers to resemble ornaments on the tree.
  6. Sprinkle a tiny pinch of paprika on top for added color and flavor.
  7. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
