Dark Chocolate Bark

This sugar-free dark chocolate bark is the perfect blend of rich chocolate, crunchy nuts, and chewy dried fruits. With a sprinkle of sea salt to elevate the flavors, this treat is as stunning as it is satisfying—ideal for indulgent snacking or a thoughtful homemade gift.

Ingredients (for 10-12 servings):

  • 1 ½ cups sugar-free dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher)
  • ? cup mixed nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, pistachios, or pecans), roughly chopped
  • ? cup dried fruits (e.g., cranberries, apricots, or cherries), chopped
  • ¼ tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler to gently melt the chocolate on the stovetop.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly with a spatula into a thin layer, about ¼-inch thick.
  4. While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle the chopped nuts and dried fruits evenly over the surface. Lightly press the toppings into the chocolate to ensure they adhere. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt for a finishing touch.
  5. Allow the bark to cool and set completely at room temperature, or place it in the refrigerator for 20-30 min. for quicker results.
  6. Once firm, lift the chocolate from the parchment and break it into irregular pieces using your hands.
