This rich and creamy chocolate fudge recipe went viral for its simplicity and no-fail method. With minimal ingredients and no candy thermometer required, it became a go-to treat for beginner bakers and seasoned dessert lovers alike.
Ingredients (for 36 small squares):
3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
¼ cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional: ½ cup chopped nuts, crushed candy canes, or mini marshmallows for topping
Instructions:
Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Lightly grease the paper to prevent sticking.
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Mix until evenly combined.
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula. If adding toppings, sprinkle them over the top and gently press them into the fudge.
Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm and set.
Use the parchment paper overhang to lift the fudge out of the pan. Slice into 36 small squares or your desired size with a sharp knife.
