Dry January: 10 Delicious Mocktails that are Anything but Boring

Raspberry Rose Cooler

Delicate and delightfully refreshing, this mocktail combines the natural sweetness of ripe raspberries with the floral elegance of rose water. A splash of lemon juice adds brightness, while sparkling water provides a fizzy lift. Perfect for continuing Dry January into February, this drink makes an excellent choice for treating someone special on Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients (serves 1):

  • 1/4 c fresh raspberries (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)
  • 1/4 tsp rose water (or to taste)
  • 4 oz sparkling water (chilled)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mash the raspberries into a smooth purée using a fork or muddler. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds, if desired.
  2. In a serving glass, combine the raspberry purée, lemon juice, and rose water. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Add ice cubes to the glass, then top with sparkling water. Stir lightly to combine.
  4. Garnish with a lemon twist and a few fresh raspberries for an elegant presentation.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
