Homemade Mayonnaise

Have you ever made mayonnaise yourself? It's easier than you think! The most important tool for perfect mayonnaise is a blender.


Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup vegetable or canola oil

Instructions:

  1. Add the egg yolks, white wine vinegar, mustard, salt, and 2 tbsp of vegetable oil to the blender container. Secure the lid tightly.
  2. Blend on low speed for about 60 seconds, then stop.
  3. Slowly pour in the remaining oil while blending continuously. The slower the oil is added, the thicker the mayonnaise will become.
  4. Mayonnaise tastes best when fresh, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
