Filling the jam jars

The most important thing to pay attention to when filling your jam jars is to avoid burning yourself! Using a ladle, fill the jars with jam as high up as you can go. Quickly screw on the lid, then clean any spills with a damp sponge. Turn upside down immediately, and keep it like that until the next day. That way the lid will become sterilized and you'll also create an air seal.
