Get your silver to really shine

Dullness is silver's number one enemy, so here's the secret to get your silver to sparkle: mix a few drops of gentle hand soap in hot water, then dip a soft cloth into the solution. Use the cloth to shine your jewelry, then rinse in cold water and wipe dry.

For opaque jewelry, make a cleaning paste (3 parts baking soda, one part water). Apply the paste with a soft cloth to avoid scratching the silver. Then rinse your jewelry and wipe dry.
